An all-in-one PC builds the computer into the back of the monitor, so a desk needs one power cable instead of a tower, a screen and the wiring between them. The trade-off is upgradeability: memory and storage are harder to change later, and a fault in the screen means the whole unit goes for repair. We therefore recommend configuring memory and storage generously at purchase. If you expect to upgrade, a small-form-factor desktop behind a monitor gives similar desk space with more flexibility.
